Advocacy
World Single Parent Day, May 30th. Launched in 2020 as World Single Mother's Day, it will become World Single Parent Day in 2025, reflecting a commitment to equality and inclusion for all those who assume sole responsibility for parenting – mothers, fathers, grandparents, or guardians. Every May 30th, it brings together grassroots organizations, institutions, policymakers, and families to advocate internationally for the recognition of the rights of single parents.
Africa
Born on the continent, driven by its women, built for its families. The African Single Mother Summit is a space of empowerment where African single mothers speak out, define their needs, and co-create solutions that reflect their own experiences. Under the high patronage of First Lady Marie Khone Faye and the African Patron, Minister Ngoné Ndoye, the first edition was held in Dakar in November 2025. Workshops, conferences, and recommendations—three days to redefine single parenthood and build bridges between Africa, the Maghreb, and their diaspora. Because the women of Africa uplift the world.
Europe
From Brussels to Paris, from Madrid to Geneva, single mothers across Europe share the same struggles: access to housing, social rights, mental load, and rebuilding their identity. The Single Mothers Europe Summit brings these voices together around a common advocacy platform, championed by its European Patron, Member of Parliament Latifa Aït-Baala. It's a space to exchange ideas, build resources, and make the realities of single-parent families heard by European institutions—the European Parliament, the European Union, and beyond. Together, we are making a difference.

They raise their children alone. They bear the same burden, the same sleepless nights, the same doubts. And yet, single fathers remain the blind spot of public policies and support systems. The Symposium on Male Single Parenthood is a unique forum bringing together researchers, professionals, single fathers, and policymakers from around the world to break the silence, name the issues, and develop concrete solutions. Because male single parenthood exists. And it finally deserves to be seen. #SoloEotop No single parent should be invisible.
Distinction
Some single parents do more than just survive. They inspire, they build, they transform their reality into collective strength. The Nsenga Ndoye Aït-Baala Awards were created to honor them. These awards celebrate single parents who exemplify resilience and commitment, the frontline workers who support them every day, and the international partners who champion this cause beyond borders. A rigorous selection process. A recognition ceremony. A clear message: courage deserves to be celebrated. Because every act of commitment deserves to be seen.
A roof over your head is the foundation of everything. Without stable housing, nothing is possible: not rebuilding your life, not ensuring the safety of your children, not planning for the future. Mamans Soloeotop ASBL supports single-parent families throughout their rehousing journey, from emergency situations to stability. Identifying available solutions, preparing applications, mediating with landlords, and referring them to support services—we are there every step of the way, so that each single-parent family has a space of their own. A space to breathe. A space to start over. Because a home is the first step toward rebuilding.
Every single parent has their own story. Every journey has its own needs. That's why our programs are designed to adapt, not the other way around. Individual coaching, group workshops, training, assessments, job placement support, and parenting support—our programs cover all aspects of single life. Developed from real-world experience, led by dedicated professionals, and designed to produce tangible results. Because support that doesn't change anything is worthless. Real tools. Lasting impact. A path that belongs to you.
